kutatási eredmények (magyarul)
A kutatás során tanulmányoztuk a vezetési elektronok különféle szennyezéseken történő inelasztikus szóródásának teljes energia-, ill. mágneses tér-függését. Eredményeinket 4 folyóiratcikkben (1 Phys. Rev. Lett. ill. 2 Phys. Rev. B és 1 Physica E) publikáltuk. A szennyezésmodellekkel foglalkozó fizikusoknak évtizedek óta komoly fejtörést okoz az ún. Kondo kompenzációs felhő mibenléte. A numerikus renormálási csoport modszerét alkalmassá tettük térbeli korrelációk számítására, és kiszámítottuk a mágneses szennyező körüli spinkorrelációk távolság-, és hőmérsékletfüggését. Eredményeinket a Phys. Rev. B folyóiratban publikáltuk. Nanoszemcsék ill. nanoméretű kvantum pöttyök töltődését alapvetően befolyásolhatják a szemcse közelében lezajló töltés-átrendeződések. Ezen átredeződések hatását a szemcse töltésállapotához csatolt bozonikus térrel reprezentáltuk, és meghatároztuk a rendszer fázisdiagramját. Eredményeinket 2 publikációban ismertettük (1 Phys. Rev. B, 1 megjelenés alatt). További 7 közleményünkben az eredeti kutatási tervhez lazán kapcsolódó, a kutatás folyamán felbukkant érdekes jelenségeket tanulmányoztunk (ferromágnesség és Kondo effektus egymásra hatása, emisszió ill. abszorpció és kvantum fázisátalakulás kvantum dotokban, a dekoherecia frusztrációja nyitott kvantumrendszerekben).
kutatási eredmények (angolul)
In the course of the research project we have studied the inelastic scattering cross section of conduction electrons due to different kind of impurities. We have studied the full energy and magnetic field dependence of that cross section. We published our results in 4 journal articles (1 Phys. Rev. Lett., 2 Phys Rev. B, 1 Physica E). Those who have studied impurity models, the Kondo compensation cloud has been a puzzle for decades. By extending the numerical renormalization group technique to be capable of computing spatial correlations, we have calculated the distance and temperature dependence of spin correlations around a magnetic impurity. We published our results in Phys. Rev. B. The charging of nanograins and nano-sized quantum dots can be affected essentially by the charge rearrangements around the dot. We have modelled those charge rearrangements by a bosonic bath coupled to the charge state of the grain and in that way we explored the phase diagram of the system. We published our results in 2 papers (1 Phys Rev. B, 1 pending.) Furthermore, in 7 other publications we presented results which are weakly correlated with the original research plan but appeared in the course of the research project (interplay of ferromagnetism and Kondo effect, absorption/emission and phase transition in quantum dots, frustration of decoherence in open quantum systems).
