A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. Az IFLA évenként megrendezett konferenciája a legnagyobb múltú és legnagyobb hatású nemzetközi seregszemle az információtudományban. Az IFLA, vagyis a Könyvtári Egyesületek és Szervezetek Nemzetközi Szövetsége (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions – IFLA) a világ könyvtáros szakmai egyesületeinek legfőbb érdekképviseleti szerve. Működésének kiemelkedő területét képezi még a nemzetközi érvényű könyvtári normatívák és irányelvek kidolgozása, alapelvek megfogalmazása, s a könyvtárak helyzetét bemutató statisztikák és egyéb információforrások közreadása. A Könyvtári Egyesületek és Szervezetek Nemzetközi Szövetségét 1927-ben alapították Edinburghben, Skóciában. 2022-ben Új-Zélandon rendezik meg az IFLA világkongresszust, amelyen doktoranduszként való részvételem nagyban elősegíti a szakmai fejlődésemet. Olyan szakemberekkel találkozhatok a világ minden tájáról, akikkel hosszú távú együttműködés és kutatómunka kezdeményezhető a szakterületemen. Poszerrel készülök, bemutatva a világjárvány magyar felsőoktatási szakkönyvtárak gyakorolt hatását, valamint kerekasztal beszélgetésben is részt kívánok venni.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről. Bár sokan azt gondoljuk, hogy a könyvtárosok egész nap csak olvasnak, a valóságban sajnos vajmi kevés idejük marad kedvenc időtöltésüknek. A tudományos szakkönyvtárak manapság inkább hasonlítanak egy informatikai multicég működéséhez. Amíg néhány évtizeddel ezelőtt csak a papír alapú adathordozók megőrzéséről és szolgáltatásáról kellett gondoskodnia a könyvtáraknak, manapság több digitális adat keletkezik, mint nyomtatott. Ezt a hatalmas mennyiségű adatot rendszerezni, tárolni és visszakereshetővé tenni nagy feladat, amely kihívás elé állítja korunk legmodernebb adattudománnyal foglalkozó hardver és szoftvervállalatait is. Az információtudománnyal foglalkozó szakemberek immár 1929. óta rendszeresen összegyűlnek a jógyakorlatok megosztása és a szakmai fejlődés jegyében. Szervezetüket Könyvtári Egyesületek és Szervezetek Nemzetközi Szövetségének (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions – IFLA) hívják. 2022-ben az IFLA világkongresszust Új-Zélandon rendezik meg, ahol a magyar szakemberek jelenléte is létfonotsságú. A többnapos szakmai diskurzus főbb témái az open data, vagyis a nyúlt adatok, az open science, vagyis a nyúlt tudomány alapelveinek való megfelelés kérdései és természetesen az adatvédelem. A magyar kutatóintézetek által keletkezett óriási mennyiségű kutatási adat és a kísérletek jegyzőkönyvei már számos hazai intézményben ingyenesen hozzáférhetők, ezáltal a is elősegítve a kutatás hatékonyságát és a kutatók közötti gördülékeny információáramlást. A 2022-ben megrendezett konferencia e tekintetben is tartogat újdonságokat a résztvevőknek.

IFLA’s annual conference is the longest-running and most influential international army review in information science. IFLA, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), is the world's leading advocacy body for professional librarian associations. Another outstanding area of its operation is the development of internationally valid library norms and guidelines, the formulation of principles, and the publication of statistics and other sources of information presenting the situation of libraries. The International Federation of Library Associations and Organizations was founded in 1927 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Their first conference under this name was held in 1929 in Rome, Florence and Venice. In 2019, I participated in the IFLA World Congress in Athens as a delegate of Hungary:
In 2022, the IFLA World Congress will be held in New Zealand, where my participation as a doctoral student will greatly contribute to my professional development. I can meet professionals from all over the world with whom I can initiate long-term collaboration and research in my field. I am preparing a poster presenting the impact of the pandemic on Hungarian higher education libraries, and I would also like to take part in a round table discussion.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results. While many people think that librarians only read all day, in reality, unfortunately, they have little time left for their favorite pastime. Scientific libraries today are more like the operation of an IT multi-company. While libraries only had to preserve and service paper-based media a few decades ago, today more digital data is being created than printed. Organizing, storing, and retrieving this vast amount of data is a big task that also challenges today's state-of-the-art data science hardware and software companies. Information science professionals have been meeting regularly since 1929 to share good practice and develop professionally. Their organization is called the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). In 2022, the IFLA World Congress will be held in New Zealand, where the presence of Hungarian experts is also vital. The main topics of the multi-day professional discourse are open data, ie the issues of compliance with the principles of open science, ie open science, and of course data protection. The huge amount of research data generated by Hungarian research institutes and the protocols of experiments are already available free of charge in many Hungarian institutions, thus facilitating the efficiency of research and the smooth flow of information between researchers. The conference in 2022 also holds novelties for participants in this regard.

Az idei konferencián 143 országból közel 4000 résztvevő vett részt Az IFLA/ALA konferencián való részvétel alapos előzetes felkészülést igényel mindenkitől. A több mint 120 féle előadás és kerekasztal-beszélgetés közül azokat csak azokat emelném ki, amelyek relevánsak voltak a kutatási témám tekintetében. Áttekintést kaptunk a digitális kötelespéldányok kezelésével kapcsolatos nemzeti szabályozások jellemzőiről, sok európai országban már digitális kötelespéldány rendelet van érvényben. Az OCLC munkatársai bemutatták a legújabb könyvtárautomatizálási rendszerüket, amelyben nem csak a digitalizációs alprojektek és a szelektív webarchniválás szerepeltek, hanem a born digital dokumentumok kezelésével kapcsolatban is elmondták tapasztalataikat. Ehhez szorosan kapcsolódik az IFLA szabványosítási törekvése, amelynek egyik része a Library Reference Model. A Big Data és az Open Source Initiative az adatkezelést ugyan megkönnyítik, a nyílt adatkapcsolatok problémája továbbra sincs megoldva. A téma egyben rámutat az IFLA/ALA egyik stratégiai programjára, melyhez az Magyar Könyvtárosok Egyesülete is számos rendezvényével és kiadványával is társult, amely az ENSZ 2030 Agendához és a Fenntartható Fejlődés Célokhoz kapcsolódó könyvtári hozzájárulásokat tudatosítja a társadalomban. A megoldások irányait pedig az információtechnológia eszközeivel próbáljuk kijelölni. A doktori munkám nagyban támaszkodik ezekre a hibrid és jelenléti módon megrendezett műhelybeszélgetésekre.

This year's conference was attended by nearly 4,000 participants from 143 countries. Participation in the IFLA/ALA conference requires thorough preliminary preparation from everyone. Among the more than 120 presentations and round table discussions, I would highlight only those that were relevant to my research topic. We have received an overview of the characteristics of national regulations related to the management of digital official copies, many European countries already have a digital official copy regulation in force. OCLC staff presented their latest library automation system, which included not only digitization sub-projects and selective web archiving, but also shared their experience with managing born digital documents. Closely related to this is IFLA's standardization effort, one part of which is the Library Reference Model. Although Big Data and the Open Source Initiative make data management easier, the problem of open data connections is still not solved. The topic also points to one of IFLA/ALA's strategic programs, to which the Hungarian Librarians' Association is associated with its numerous events and publications, which raise awareness of library contributions related to the UN 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals in society. And we try to identify the directions of the solutions with the tools of information technology. My doctoral work relies heavily on these hybrid and face-to-face workshop discussions.
