2024. október 9-11. között Budapesten, a Margitszigeten került megrendezésre a Délkelet-Európai Idegsebészeti Társaság (SeENS) VI. és a Magyar Idegsebészeti Társaság (MIT) XXV. közös kongresszusa A háromnapos rendezvényen több mint 300 résztvevő vett részt 29 országból, hogy beszámoljanak a legújabb kutatási eredményeikről és innovációikról az idegsebészet és társszakmái területén. Több, mint 200 magas színvonalú tudományos előadás hangzott el három párhuzamos szekcióban, amelyek átfogó képet nyújtottak az aktuális klinikai gyakorlattól a technológiai fejlesztéseken át az új kutatási irányokig. Az eseményen számos hazai és nemzetközileg elismert szaktekintély tartott előadást - többek között az EANS elnöke Torstein Meling, titkára Lukas Rasulic, elnökségi tagja Michaël Bruneau, a WFNS vezető tisztségviselői Kenan Arnautovic (1st vicepresident), Stefan Florian (parlementarien) és a SeENS vezetősége. A kongresszus kiemelt célja volt, hogy elősegítse az együttműködést a régió vezető centrumai és szakemberei között, valamint támogassa a tudományos fejlődést és együttműködést. Emellett a fiatal kutatók és PhD hallgatók számára nyújtott bemutatkozási és kapcsolatteremtési lehetőséget, mely hosszú távon elősegítik a hazai kutatói utánpótlás fejlődését és az együttműködést a nemzetközi tudományos élettel. A kongresszusi összefoglalók az Ideggyógyászati Szemle Proceedings kötetében kerültek megjelentetésre 2024;9(6).

The 6th Congress of the Southeast Europe Neurosurgical Society and the 25th Congress of the Hungarian Neurosurgical Society were held jointly on Margaret Island in Budapest, Hungary from October 9 to 11, 2024. The three-day conference hosted over 300 participants from 29 countries, who presented their latest research findings and innovations in neurosurgery and related fields. More than 200 high-quality scientific presentations were delivered in three parallel sessions, providing a comprehensive overview from current clinical practices to technological advancements and new research directions. Several renowned national and international experts gave presentations at the event -including Torstein Meling, President of EANS, Lukas Rasulic, Secretary of EANS, Michaël Bruneau, a board member of EANS, and leading officers from the WFNS such as Kenan Arnautovic (First Vice President) and Stefan Florian (Parliamentarian) SeENS EC Board and MIT. A key objective of the congress was to promote collaboration among neurosurgical leading centers and professionals in the region, as well as to support scientific development. Furthermore, the event provided an excellent platform for young researchers and PhD students to introduce themselves and establish connections, promoting the development of future Hungarian researchers and facilitating collaboration with the international scientific community. The congress abstracts were published in the Clinical Neuroscience Proceedings (2024;9(6).
