A KFI-konferenciák sorába jól illeszkedő tudományos-művészeti rendezvény előadásokkal, poszterkiállítással és tanulmányutakkal járult hozzá a budapesti és vidéki műemléképületekben és azok külső homlokzatain található, főként 20. századi mozaikok megőrzéséhez, kiemelve a mozaikok megismerésének, megismertetésének, restaurálásának és kezelésének fontos kérdését. Összesen közel 100 résztvevő, köztük az örökségvédelemmel és az építészeti környezet megóvásával foglalkozó, különböző természettudományos szakterületeket képviselő szakemberek, valamint az egyetem hallgatói is jelen voltak a konferenciateremben, mely sokszínűség fontos lehetősége és eredménye volt a találkozónak. A bemutatott témák angol nyelvű absztraktkötetben jelentek meg a Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem kiadásában, mely online is elérhető. A sikeres szakmai szerveződés hozzájárult a nemzetközi együttműködés erősítéséhez a mozaikok konzerválása és bemutatása terén, valamint a kulturális örökségi ágazat nagyobb kohéziójához a tágabb régióban, felhívva a figyelmet a vizsgált „új örökségre”.Az elkészült videó is erre reflektál. Megerősítést nyert, hogy kiemelten fontos az adott helyszín feltételeinek megértése, a kockázatok azonosítása és a mozaikok értékének korszakoktól független, kivétel nélküli felismerése. A konferencia felhívta a figyelmet a modern mozaikörökség törékenységére és a megőrzésének valós igényeire. Alkalmat adott a megfogalmazott kihívások, módszerek és innovációk megismerésére és disszeminációjára.

The scientific-artistic event, which fits well into the series of RDI (Research, Development and Innovation) conferences, contributed to the preservation of 20th century indoor and outdoor mosaics of historical buildings in Budapest and in the countryside highlighting the significant issue of mosaic knowledge, awareness, restoration and management. A total of nearly 100 participants, including professionals from various disciplines in the field of heritage conservation and the preservation of the architectural environment, as well as students from the university were present in the conference room showing an important fact about the meeting's diversity. The topics presented were published in English in an abstract booklet by the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, also available online. The successful professional organisation has contributed to strengthening international cooperation in the field of mosaic conservation, as well as to greater cohesion of the cultural heritage sector in the wider region, raising awareness of the 'new heritage' under study and discussed in the video. The importance of understanding the conditions of a site, identifying the risks and recognising the value of mosaics regardless of the era, without exception, was confirmed. The conference drew attention to the fragility of the modern mosaic heritage and the real need to its preservation. It provided an opportunity to learn about and disseminate the challenges, methods and innovations identified.
