Final report

A regulátoros T-sejtekkel kapcsolatos eredményeinket jelenleg foglaljuk össze. Az eddig elért eredményeink nemcsak egyes lymphomák jobb megértését, hanem egyes, eddig alig ismert funkcionális T-sejt szubpopulációk megismerését is szolgálhatják.

We are among hte first investigators who have established that tumor cells of angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma possess the phenotype of activated follicular B helper T-cells (TFH). In collaboration with the Department of Pathology, Wurzburg University, Germany, we have described the functinonal differentiation status of the different nodal peripheral T-cell lymphoma entities. We have described that, besides the 7 isochromosome, its equivalent genetic abrerration, the 7-ring chromosome can also be presented in hepatosplenic gamma/delta T-cell lymphoma. We have described that the NFATc1 transcription factor expression is epigenetically supressed in anaplastic large cell lymphoma, and this suppression is based on impared immunoreceptor signaling, characteristic for anaplastic large cell lymphoma. We achieved substantial result in the definition of regulatory T-cell lymphomas as well. We have described lymphomas showing natural T-regulatory cell phenotype, first in the Hungarian population. We have differentiated an important and relatively homogenous group of lymphomas, which is charcterised by TH3 phenotype. Our results on regulatory T-cells are just being compiled. Our results can facilitate the better understanding of different mature T-cell lympoma enitities, and may contribute to explore immunological properties of some functional T-cell subpopulations.
