magyar összefoglaló
Kutatási pályázatunk társult pályázata a Forgács Péter (RMKI) vezetésével benyújtott NI-68228 számú iskolateremtő OTKA-pályazatnak, amelyhez egymással összefüggő témában dolgozó kutatók csatlakoztak összesen 4 magyarországi tanszékről / kutatóhelyről (RMKI és az ELTE tanszékei). A konzorciumban a szegedi csoport gravitációelméleti kutatásokkal vesz részt. Kutatásunk főbb területei a következők:
∙ gravitációs sugárzás és pályamozgás vizsgálata kompakt kettősöknél
∙ források szuperpozíciója Einstein általános relativitáselméletében
∙ hamiltoni dinamika és kanonikus kvantálás
∙ kozmologia és fekete lyukak fizikája
∙ topológiai hibák (bránok) magasabb dimenziószámú téridőkben
∙ a brán-világokként ismert, módosított gravitációs elméletek kovariáns, perturbatív és kanonikus analízise.
Megvalósítandó céljaink a következők:
∙ a brán-elmélet hamiltoni formalizmusának kidolgozása
∙ téridők keresése és geometrodinamikai tárgyalása források szuperpoziciója esetén
∙ a luminozitás-vöröseltolódás összefüggés és a struktúra kialakulás módosulásainak tanulmányozása brán-világokban.
∙ Sachs-Wolfe effektus tanulmányozása brán-világokban
∙ bizonyos brán-világ megoldások stabilitásának vizsgálata
∙ 6-dimenziós modellek tanulmányozása
∙ kompakt kettősök pályamódosulásának teljes leírása második poszt-newtoni rendig
Kutatási eredményeinket vezető nemzetközi szakfolyóiratokban fogjuk publikálni.
Pályázatunk fő hozadéka a Magyarországon jelenleg folyó gravitációelméleti és asztro-részecske fizikai kutatásoknak olyan keretbe foglalása, mely a résztvevők szerteágazó szakmai tapasztalatainak szintéziséből egy új tudományterület magyarországi kialakulását eredményezheti.
angol összefoglaló
This research proposal is associated to the proposal NI-68228, submitted by Péter Forgács from the KFKI Research Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics (RMKI), encompassing researchers from both RMKI and ELTE University.
The Szeged node will contribute with theoretical research in gravitational physics. Our research concentrates on the following topics:
∙ gravitational radiation and orbital evolution of compact binaries
∙ superposition of sources in Einstein's general relativity
∙ Hamiltonian dynamics and canonical quantization
∙ cosmology and black hole physics
∙ topological defects (branes) in higher dimensional space-times
∙ the modified gravitational theories known as brane-worlds, treated covariantly, perturbatively and in a canonical approach.
We aim to
∙ develop the complete Hamiltonian theory of brane-world gravity
∙ find space-times generated by superpositions of sources and to discuss them in a geometrodynamical perspective
∙ study the modifications induced in the luminosity-redshift relation and in the structure formation by the brane-world model
∙ study the Sachs-Wolfe effect in brane-worlds
∙ study the stability of certain brane-world exact solutions
∙ investigate 6-dimensional models
∙ completely characterize the orbital evolution of compact binaries up to the second post-Newtonian order
We will publish our research results in internationally recognized physics journals.
The proposal aims to assure a framework for the exchange of knowledge and experience among researchers working on different, but closely related research areas and spread across four different departments at Hungarian universities and research institutes. The network to be formed with the aid of this proposal, could catalyze the birth of a new interdisciplinary branch of physics in Hungary.

Kutatási pályázatunk 3,5 éves futamideje alatt gravitációelméleti kutatásokat végeztünk. Eredményeinket a következő főbb területeken értük el: ∙ gravitációs sugárzás és pályamozgás vizsgálata kompakt kettősöknél ∙ akkréciós folyamatok, mágneses terek és részecskenyalábok fekete lyukak környezetében ∙ brán-világok kovariáns analízise (alkalmazásokkal), változó brán-feszültség, brán-kozmológia ∙ árapály-töltésű fekete lyukak fényelhajlása, gravitációs lencsézése, termodinamikai elemzése ∙ hamiltoni dinamika brán-elméletben ∙ sötét energia modellek A pályázat 3,5 éve alatt összesen 42 publikáció született. Ebből 26 SCI folyóiratcikk (össz-impakt faktoruk 108,06), 2 beküldött cikk, 2 disszertáció, 9 egyéb folyóiratcikk, 2 könyvben publikálandó konferenciacikk és 1 konferenciakiadvány. A pályázat résztvevői összesen 38 (plenáris / meghívott / konferencia / szemináriumi) előadást és posztert mutattak be. Eredményeink közül kiemelnénk a következőket: (i) az X-alakú rádiógalaxisok kialakulásának magyarázata spin-pálya precesszió és gravitációs sugárzás hatására (ii) változó brán feszültségű modellek kidolgozása, az Eötvös-brán bevezetése (iii) gyorsuló kozmológiai tágulással kompatibilis, de exponenciális tágulás helyett Big Brake gyenge szingularitáson át Big Crunch-hoz vezető kozmológiai modell kidolgozása.
kutatási eredmények (angolul)
During the 3.5 year span of the proposal we carried on research related to gravitation. We achieved results in the following fields ∙ gravitational radiation and compact binary orbital dynamics ∙ accretion processes, magnetic fields, particle jets in the neighbourhood of black holes ∙ covariant brane-world dynamics (with applications), variable brane tension models, brane cosmology ∙ light deflection and gravitational lensing by tidal charged black holes; thermodynamic analysis ∙ Hamiltonian dynamics in brane-worlds ∙ dark energy models During the 3.5 years of the proposal we authored 42 publications. 26 of them are SCI journal papers (total impact factor of 108.06), 2 submitted papers, 2 PhD theses, 9 other journal papers, 2 conference papers to be published in books and one other conference material. The participants of the proposal have delivered a total of 38 lectures (plenary / invited / conference / seminar) and posters. From among our results we highlight the following: (i) the explanation of formation of X-shaped radio galaxies by spin-orbit precession and gravitational radiation (ii) developing variable tension brane-world models, introducing the Eötvös-brane (iii) the introduction of a cosmological model compatible with the late-time acceleration, evolving instead of an exponential expansion into a Big Brake soft singularity followed by a Big Crunch.
