A 2004-ben lezárt TO37780 ny. sz. OTKA-kutatás folytatásaként az 1950-1953 között fennállt hortobágyi és nagykunsági zárt kényszermunkatáborokba telepítéssel kapcsolatos kérdőívek anyagának feldolgozása és elemző tanulmányok írása. 2. A hortobágyi társadalomkísérlet és természetátalakítási program mindennapjainak és következményeinek feltárását célzó társadalomtörténeti és történeti ökológiai tanulmányok, dokumentációk készítése két témakörben. 2/1. „Telepesek”-„szabadok”: a táborélet és a táborkörnyéki élet mindennapjai, életvilág-párhuzamok, a táboron kívüli társalmi alakulatok történeti és szociológiai vizsgálata. 2/2. Táj és társadalom a hortobágyi pusztán: A „természetátalakítás második hullámának” történetszociológiai hátterét feltáró tanulmányok.
Summary
1. The first phase of the present project is continuation of a previous - in 2004 accomplished - research supported by OTKA dealing with the forced translocation of déclassé groups the so called “settlers” to the Hortobágy region of Great Hungarian Plain. This time the data of the survey of 420 former „settlers” and their families are going to be analyzed.
2. In he second phase social and ecological studies will be carried out about the everyday effects of the social and landscape-engineering programs on Hortobágy. The study focuses on two main topics:
2/1. Inside and outside the laborcamp: everyday life, parallel lifeworlds of the two sides.
2/2. Landscape and society on Hortobágy: studies exploring the second - unsuccessful - wave of reshaping nature and society of the region in the fifties and sixties.

1. Munkaterv szerinti statisztikai elemzések a "Táborlakók és családjaik" c. kérdőíves kutatás és a táborokban készült névsorlisták társadalomstatisztikai adatai alapján. Életút-elemzések. Az elemzések eredményeként tanulmányok írása és egy szerkesztett tanulmánykötet kéziratának összeállítása
2. A témakör egységes fogalmi bázisának kialakítása - lexikon-szócikkek
3. Terepmunka a kitelepítés legfőbb merítő bázisán: az 1950-ben különleges igazgatási övezetté nyilvánított jugoszláviai és ausztriai határövezetekben. Terepmunka a kitelepítés célterületén: az alföldi pusztákon létrehozott tizenkét zárt kényszermunkatábor helyszínein és környezetében. Az egykori táborrendszer társadalom- és tájtörténeti rekonstrukciója.

Results in English
1. Statistical analysis of the data gained in the survey Deportees and Their Families and also of the data of lists of the deportees available from other researches. Analyses of interviews. An edited collection of thematic papers on the bases of these analyses (draft).
2. A collection of basic theoretical categories and framework for describing the social structure of the researched population.
3. Fieldwork in the main bases of the deportations, basically on the southern and western border zone, and also on the places of the deportations: on the Hungarian plane. A social reconstruction of the regions affected by the deportation.
4. Interviews with deportees, case studies of deportations, photo and map documentations.
4. Papers, presentations, exhibitions.
