A 2007 folyamán elnyert F 67577 számú, "Egy rendhagyó rézkori település - Balatonőszöd-Temetői dűlő" c. OTKA pályázatom megvalósításához elengedhetetlenül szükséges 2008. januárjától kutatóhelyem fenntartása és anyagi finanszírozásom megoldása valamilyen alternatív módon, mivel a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Régészeti Intézetének nem áll módjában alkalmazásomat továbbra fenntartani, pénzügyi nehézségei miatt. Az időközben elnyert OTKA pályázat a téma, Balatonőszöd-Temetői dűlő feldolgozásához biztosítja az anyagi feltételeket, de nem tartalmazza a a vezető kutató munkabérét, mert a pályázat benyújtásának idején ez még nem merült fel problémaként - időközben viszont áthidalhatatlan problémává vált. A most beadott posztdoktori pályázat három évre - az elnyert F 67577 számú OTKA-pályázat futási idejével szinkronban - a saját munkabéremet pályázza meg a poszdoktori pályázattípus ösztöndíjára pályázva, éves lebontása megegyezik az elnyert pályázatban feltüntetett kutatási tervvel és munkatervének üteme is.
Summary
The task of this project is attaching the F67577 tender to ensure the wage of the senior researcher in the next three years. The main aim of the F 67577 tender: The strategic and economic advantages of the nearby lake made the southern shore of Lake Balaton extremely attractive for settlers from the Pehistoric Period till the Late Medieval Period, yielding a dense network of settlements. At the Balatonőszöd site among the material of other periods, an extended settlement-part of the Late Copper Age Baden Culture was excavated, producing significant amount of find material. The discovered cultic objects and features are assumed to have great importance, especially the fragment of a clay mask depicting a human face, which is unique object considering both the territory of Hungary and shorter-wider interval of the Baden Culture. The ''Balatonőszöd-settlement'' shows unusual criteria from various perpectives. Since no direct parallels are known, it cannot be decided whether a unique, specialized settlement was uncovered, or a rare, but by chance everyday example of a settlement-type inside the great complex of the Baden Culture had been found. Lacking comparative material it is difficult to decide if a ritual village was discovered - the extraordinary sizes, numbers, features allow to infer this hypothesis - or we were lucky to uncover for the first time an ordinary Baden settlement, where these strange features existed not just as the separate complexes of unconnected pits, but as large extension of interrelated features.

A három éves ösztöndíj időtartama alatt arra vállalkoztunk, hogy az első nagy felületen feltárt, interdiszciplinárisan feldolgozott Boleráz/Baden lelőhely (Balatonőszöd, F-67577 számú pályázat) után annak releváns régészeti adatait kivetítsük az érintett késő rézkor teljes időszakára (és a középső rézkor vége, valamint a kora bronzkor érintett területeire), a kutatásba bevonva a Boleráz/Baden kultúrák más magyarországi lelőhelyeit, és a korszakban érintett szomszédos, egykorú kultúrákat. Ennek megvalósulása az elmúlt 10 év alatt született előadások (15), tanulmányok (39 + 9 in print), könyvek (1), és a project zárásaként az ezt értékelő jövőben megjelenő monográfia kézirata.

Our work was first to processing of the Balatonőszöd-Temetői dűlő site (OTKA F-67577), and than evaluating the dates for the full period of Late Copper Age, implying the former Middle Copper Age and the later Early Bronze Age periods in the aspect of surviving, attaching the other Late Copper Age Boleráz/Baden sites beside Balatonőszöd. The issue is a monograph completing with 2 DVD attachment, on the base of 15 oral presentation, articles (39+9 in print), and book from the last 10 years. I suggest a radically new chronological frame for the Late Copper Age with new position of the old cultures.
