A számítási intelligencia technikák elfogadhatóan szuboptimális közelítő megoldásokat adnak, a számítási bonyolultságot kezelhető szinten tartva.
E kutatási projekt fuzzy szabálybázisos modellekre irányul és különböző intelligens módszerek segítségével történő tanuló optimalizálással foglalkozik. Tervünk az általunk a közelmúltban kifejlesztett, meglehetősen jó hatásfokú bakteriális memetikus algoritmus kiterjesztése ritka interpolatív fuzzy rendszerekre, hierarchikus fuzzy szabálybázisokra, hierarchikus interpolatív fuzzy szabálybázisokra, fuzzy szignatúrás szabályrendszerekre és interpolatív szignatúrás szabályrendszerekre is, ily módon az optimalizációs eljárást a bonyolultságcsökkentett modellek teljes skálájára kifejlesztve. Alternatívaként megvizsgáljuk a fuzzy elemi tároló alapú neurális hálózatokat különböző fuzzy műveletek és belső állapot kezelési technikák esetén vizsgálva a konvergencia viselkedést, e rendszerek alkalmazását tekintve célul az automatikus modellidentifikálásban. Továbbfejlesztjük hierarcikus fuzzy demo szoftverünket közlekedési csomópont irányítási alkalmazásra. Megvizsgáljuk a kontextusfüggő rekonstruktív kommunikációt fuzzy szabálybázisos alapon robotok fuzzy kommunikációját megvalósítva.
Modeling, control and communication often faces systems of high complexity, nondeterministic behavior and vagueness. Computational Intelligence offers approaches coming from Fuzzy Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Evolutionary Algorithms and traditional optimization, applying these methods alone or combined to deal with such problems efficiently. CI approaches aim at acceptably suboptimal, approximate solutions, keeping the computational complexity at tractable level.
This research focuses on fuzzy rule base models and involve learning optimization by various CI techniques. We plan to extend our recently proposed, rather efficient, Bacterial Memetic Algorithm to sparse interpolative fuzzy systems, hierarchical fuzzy rule systems, hierarchical interpolative fuzzy rule systems, fuzzy signature rule systems and interpolative fuzzy signature rule systems, as well, thus developing a full scale of complexity reduced fuzzy model optimization. We intend to investigate fuzzy flip-flop neural networks as an alternative, studying convergence behavior for various fuzzy operations and internal state treatments, targeting their application for automatic model identification. We will further develop our hierarchical fuzzy demo software for modeling traffic intersections control. We will investigate Context Dependent Reconstructive Communication using fuzzy rule bases for realizing fuzzy communication of robots. We want to apply this new approach to the communication of cooperating autonomous robots in an intelligent space environment, and later for industrial manufacturing robots as well.

Vizsgáltuk a fuzzy neurális hálózatokat, új struktúrákat, műveleteket bevezetve megkezdtük a hardver implementációt; fuzzy kognitív térképeket vizsgáltunk. Javaslatot tettünk a fuzzy szignatúrák geometriailag struktúrált általánosítására, változó finomságú szituációs térképek leírására. Javasoltuk a fuzzy 2 dimenziós raszterek alkalmazását a képreprezentációban.
Based on our earlier research results we proposed a family of enhanced bacterial and evolutionary other memetic algorithms (e.g. Partical Swarm Optimization), with Levenberg-Marquard and Steepest Descent, viz. combinatorial methods for local search. The new methods have better convergence speed and accuracy, especially in fuzzy rule based model construction. We proposed multipopulation, multithread and hybrid evolutionary, iterative greedy and alternatingly scheduled mixed evolutionary and memetic approaches. We have achieved better results for standard benchmark data sets than any other authors. We studied neural networks based on fuzzy operations, proposing new structures, new operation families and starting hardware implementation; and we simulated fuzzy cognitive maps. We proposed extended classes of fuzzy signatures with geometric structure, modeling situational maps with flexible depth and fineness. We proposed fuzzy 2D grids for image representation. The new complex fuzzy - evolutionary/greedy/gradient optimization - neural network tool kit thus developed was deployed for a wide variety of engineering and applied problems, telecommunication, transport and logistic network optimization and failure detection, intelligent and mobile robot control, communication and co-ordination of autonomous collaboration; optimization of supply chains and production, resource allocation and scheduling, character recognition, and decision support in civil and environmental engineering.
