Summary in Hungarian
Kísérletünkben a szárazságra és magas hőmérsékletre adott növényi válaszreakciók hatását kívánjuk vizsgálni különböző alkalmazkodóképességű Lamiaceae növényfajok hatóanyagainak mennyiségi és minőségi változásaira. A közös munka eredményeként a jövőben lehetőség nyílik egy eredményes együttműködés kiépítésére az olasz partnerintézménnyel. A két tanszék közötti különbségek (a magyar fél nemzetközileg elismert nemesítési és szelekciós munkát végez, megfelelő agrotechnológiai háttérrel rendelkezik, míg az olasz fél főleg a fitokémia területén ért el jelentős eredményeket) kitűnően kiegészítik egymást, s így lehetőség nyílik egy komplexebb kép kialakítására a stressz hatásokra adott növényi válaszreakciók esetén. A projektben 2 PhD hallgató és egy doktorjelölt végzi a kutatásokat, szakmai tudásukat elmélyíthetik a nem illékony komponensek HPLC és LC-MS vizsgálati módszereinek tanulmányozásával, ezzel elősegítve a magyar fél laboratóriumi gyakorlatának fejlesztését. A várható közös publikációk mindkét fél számára előnyösek. A kiutazások során mindkét kutatócsoportnak lehetősége nyílik újabb szakirodalmi adatok gyűjtésére is. A kísérletek eredményeként felmérésre kerülnek a szárazság és magas hőmérséklet által okozott stressz miatt kialakuló mennyiségi és minőségi változások a két modellfaj illó-és nem illó hatóanyagaiban.
Summary
In our research work those chemical substances are analysed that are in connection with the plant response reactions connected to the stress effect of drought and high temperature. Species from the Lamiaceae family were chosen for the analysis characterised by different adaptability. Owing to the common work an advantageous cooperation between Italy and Hungary can be initiated. The differences between the two research units (the Hungarian partner has excellent result in selection and breeding work as well as agricultural techniques while the Italian partner is an expert is phytochemicals) can perfectly complete each other and giving a chance to have a more complete picture of the possible stress effects on medicinal and aromatic plants. Two Ph.D. students and a candidate for doctorate are involved in the project. The gaining new knowledge on the analysis on non volatile components by HPLC and LC-MS techniques can help the scientific work of the Hungarian institute in the future; the common publications are advantageous for both partners. It is possible to exchange the former scientific experiences in both countries and collecting new data from the national databases and libraries. As a response reaction of drought and hot weather conditions changes in the volatile and non volatile (qualitative and quantitative) compounds will be analysed.
