Summary in Hungarian
A vákuumcsöves kollektor termikus viselkedésének leírására neurális hálós modell kidolgozása. Különböző technológiájú napelemek és különböző típusú napkollektorok energiahozama a napsugárzás spektrumától való függésének meghatározása, spektrális érzékenység vizsgálata.
Energiahasznosításra vonatkozóan optimálási feladat a fototermikus rendszerre. Modellezéssel és mérésekkel a különböző működési módokhoz tartozó optimális térfogatáram meghatározása, validálással.
Fontos a mérésekből levonható tapasztalatok és eredmények publikálása. A tervezett kutatási feladatok a Tanszékhez kapcsolódó diákoknak is kiemelt feladatokat adnak (TDK, diploma, PhD).
Summary
The Department of Physics and Process Control, Szent István University is continueing researches of solar systems for more than 15 years. Our most important systems are a solar thermal unit with 30 m2 area, a 10 kWp photovoltaic system and a solar domestic hot water system. The research activities to be carried out along with these systems are as follows:
Measuring system is to be developed for energy measurements. The comparation of produced energy and performance of the parallel working flat-plate and vacuum-tube collectors are studied under the same environmental conditions.
Modelling. Geometrical model is to be developed for determination of the usable absorber plate of collectors. Making model for determination of the energy part from collector absorber plate.
Neural network model is to be developed to describe the thermal behavior of vacuum tube collector.
The produced energy dependence from spectral distribution in case of several types of PV modules and solar collectors along with their spectral sensitivity are to be studied.
The solar thermal system optimization for energy production. The optimal flow rate determination in several working methods with the support of models and measuring, and its validation.
Publication and dissemination of the results is also the part of the tasks.
The project will provide appropriate research topics for the students of the Department as well (student work, diploma, PhD).

A mérések előkészítéseként megtörtént egy hőáram-mérő rendszer beüzemelése, a monitorozó rendszer Labview alapokra helyezése és hardveres megújítása, a spektrális vizsgálatokhoz a színszűrők bemérése, illetve később egy spektrométer beszerzése és beüzemelése. A modellezés során kifejlesztésre került a sík- és vákuumcsöves napkollektorok hasznos felületét összehasonlító geometriai modell, amely a visszatükröződés mértékét is figyelembe veszi. A szolár kör modellezése során vizsgáltuk a hatásfoknak a szolár-folyadék térfogatáramától való függését. A 49 publikációból 42 angol nyelvű.
Results in English
As a preparation of measurements it has been performed the installation of heat flow meter, renewal of hardware and Labview based software of the monitoring system, calibration of the colour filters and later buying and installing a spectrometer. During modelling a geometrical model was developed to compare the active surface of a flat plate and vacuum tube collectors taking also into account the ratio of internal reflections. In the solar thermal system the influence of volume flow rate of solar fluid on the efficiency was also investigated. The influence of PID controller on the transients has been studied, followed by elaborating a neural network model which resulted to determine the control algorithm for optimal flow rate. During the efficiency studies it was a key point to extend the electrical and thermal efficiencies along with exergy analysis. From the measured data it could be concluded, that the rate of the specific energy productions of different PV technologies shows seasonal fluctuation, which was supposed to be the result of the spectral dependence on the efficiency. This idea was justified by comparison of energy production and spectral measurement data. During the project 2 research reports, 16 conference abstracts, 15 conference articles, 2 book chapters and 14 journal articles (1 with impact factor) were published along with a Hungarian and an English language PhD thesis works. 42 publications out of total 49 were published in English.
